Christmas Program Time!

I just love going to the kids Christmas programs.  Here's Gavin before his Band Concert.

They had the 7th and 8th grade bands plus the high school band all play.  It was so good.  Reminded me of when Wendy was  a member of the Willard Tigers Cutting Edge marching band, playing the drums.

I tried to zoom in on Gavin.  He's playing a french horn and he's right in front of a tuba.  I need someone to show me how to point an arrow at him in the picture.  Instead, I just enlarged the picture.

All the bands did a great job, but I thought the 7th grade band was really spectacular!   Especially you, Gavin!

I was also able to go to Jadon's fourth grade Christmas program.  He was an elf (obviously).  He doesn't ordinarily wear a green elf hat.

You did such a great job, Jadon.  I loved it!

I must include these two, even though I wasn't able to attend their events.  They happened after I left Houston.    Micah's 7th grade band also had a Christmas Concert and from everything I heard, it was wonderful!  Micah plays the trumpet and does an excellent job (I've heard him practicing).  Only things missing here are his bow tie and his trumpet.

And then, Ruth Ann had a Spelling Bee at her school for 3-5th graders.  The winner gets to go on to the District Spelling Bee.  Last year, Ruth came in 2nd but because the first place winner wasn't able to go to Districts, Ruth got to step in.  She made it to the fourth round and we were all so proud of her.

Well, now she is a 5th grader and here is her opportunity again.  And.......She WON First Place!!  So, now it's time to start studying the words for the next Bee.  Go Ruth!!!

Love all these kids and love that they are involved in their school activities!  We just wish we could be at everything....sigh!

Keep it up, kids!!!

Love you all,

Mema
