Ruth Ann Bischoff is in the 4th grade at Bang Elementary School in Houston, Texas. She participated in a Spelling Bee for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders at their school. The winner would go on to to the District Spelling Bee. We are so proud of her. She came in second at their school. Winner was a 5th grader.
One day she got the news that the winner could not go to the District S.B. and was asked if she would go in their place. She was very excited to say "YES."
Cypress School District is the third largest district in Texas so there were a LOT of kids participating. Ruthie made it to the fourth round before she missed her word. This is her first Spelling Bee so we thought she did a fantastic job and look forward to next year. She loved it and plans to do it again!
I love Bailey's comment that Ruthie was the most fashionable one there. :)
Way to go Ruth Ann!!!
