Gary and I usually try to go between Lucas's birthday on May 3rd and Micah's birthday on the 20th. This year, as last year, we were there for Mother's Day. We drove down on Friday and got up Saturday morning and went to Ruthie's soccer game.
Bless her heart. She didn't feel good that morning, but went to her game anyway. It's Upward Soccer so only 4 girls play at a time on each team. Ruthie (the one with the stray strand of hair hiding her face) with her friends.
Keep hydrated, Ruth...
The score was tied and Ruthie made the winning goal, then went to the bathroom and threw up. Poor baby!
Happy 14th birthday to Lucas Andrew Bischoff! I just can't believe that he is going to be a freshman at Jersey Village High School in the fall. sniff, sniff....growing up too fast as they all are.
Lucas chose a Reese's Peanut Butter Birthday cake. Wendy created this fun cake.
Happy 11th Birthday to Micah Steven Bischoff!! Micah will be in the 6th grade so he will move to Cook Middle School in the fall. Seriously, Micah? Big change.
Here's me with my beautiful daughter and grandchildren on Mother's Day! Ruth Ann still felt a little sick so Pappy stayed home from church with her.
Monday morning, Micah woke up sick, so Pappy stayed home with him while I went with Wendy to the Zumba class that she teaches at HFBC. After the class, she went over to the daycare area to lead a Zumba class for the children. It was sooo cute! She used a lot of the same music, just simplified the moves for the little ones. They loved it and just moved and danced. Some of them had their own moves they chose to use.
We were so sorry to miss Micah's baseball game Monday night, but sure didn't want him to go and throw up like Ruthie did.
Tuesday, Gary went to the golf course while Wendy and I went to Le Madeline's for lunch, then to a new cupcake store that Wendy had seen. These are the yummy cupcakes we chose to buy and share with the others.
Bailey had a 6th grade Awards Program in the afternoon. I was really glad to get to be there for her school program and she was glad we were there.
7th Grade, here she comes.............
Tuesday night, Lucas had a baseball game, so we all went to the ball park and watched Lucas play center field, catcher and short stop. He got a good hit, walked and struck out against an 18 year old pitcher. Most of the kids on these teams were older than him but he did a great job.
Wednesday morning we got up early so we could kiss the kids all good-bye before they left for school. Lucas and Bailey had to be there at 6:30 am for FCA meeting. Then we headed for home.
I got to swim every day and do my water aerobic exercises. We always play board games and go up to the school yard to play ball and walk. As always, we had a wonderful time and hated to leave.
Until next trip,
Mema
