Anybody Got A Rake?

Fall, my favorite time of the year is here! I don't even mind these rainy days. It just makes the leaves more beautiful. I love the cool, crisp air.... walking through the brown leaves on the ground.

I used to try to rake the leaves in the fall, but finally figured out that if I left them, eventually the wind blew them off into the woods anyway. And what doesn't get blown away, gets chewed up in the lawn mower in the spring. I love living where I get to experience all four seasons in a year.

Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8. "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven; a time to be born and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to uproot; a time to kill and a time to heal; a time to tear down and a time to build; a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance; a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them; a time to embrace and a time to refrain; a time to search and a time to give up; a time to keep and a time to throw away; a time to tear and a time to mend; a time to be silent and a time to speak; a time to love and a time to hate; a time for war and a time for peace." That passage goes on to say that God has made everything beautiful in its time and has set eternity in the hearts of man, yet we cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. Isn't that the truth?

I believe we have seasons in our life, as well. Isn't that what those verses are talking about?

I think that will be my next post.
